The story drove the book. That had a very seminal effect on the way I saw writing and storytelling. If you can set a character in a story that is compelling and has a backbone, you draw people in.
I never really got into 'The Munsters' that much, but there was one aspect that was compelling. That was Marilyn. She was the only normal one among this group of creatures.
AirMech was ported, I guess, but they made a complete VR mode for it. It's a tabletop game. It's incredibly compelling. I find it a lot more compelling in VR.
