I recently turned down a film that I didn't want my kids to see. Priorities shift. Sometimes I'm sad about that, but not enough to do anything about it.
With families, your priorities shift. You're not going to be like, 'Let's go out on tour year-round.' I have kids in school. You have to lay things out.
Now record companies are run by lawyers and accountants. The shift from the one to the other was definitely related to when the takes started to get big.
All we can hope for is that the thing is going to slowly and imperceptibly shift. All I can say is that 50 years ago there were no such thing as environmental policies.
It's always amusing to look at how something early in the 20th century was written in anthropology and how it's written now. There's been an enormous shift in how it's done, but yet you can't put your finger on someone who actually did it.
