Making comic adaptations means making a lot of choices - you need to adjust the pacing, the dialogue, and in this case, a lot of the cultural references.
Each director is different. Clint Eastwood and Chris Nolan are completely different, and I need to adjust to the story and character and the director and just my duty as an actor.
Actors come in, and they have their own take on things, and you have to adjust on the fly to make sure everything still works structurally and dramatically.
